NO STUDENT WILL RE-WRITE ANY EXAM said THE S.U.G PRESIDENT TO THE MANAGEMENT AND ASUP.
Following the grievances by the ASUP towards the exam conducted during the strike period, THE STUDENT UNION GOVERNMENT write to the ASUP and the MANAGEMENT that they will not be in support of re-writing any exam because many students hope that they have finish their exams and many has also travel far to various destination across the country.
Below is the letter from the S.U.G to the ASUP and the MANAGEMENT concerned.
20th October, 2017
The Rector/ ASUP,
Kaduna Polytechnic,
Kaduna.
Through:
The Dean,
Student Affairs,
Kaduna Polytechnic,
Kaduna.
Dear Sir,
LETTER OF APPEAL
Sequel to the Academic Board meeting decision on the Exams conducted on 29th August upward, we hereby write to appeal to the Management and ASUP leadership to look into the matter sincerely, diligently and carefully.
Considering the hardship and emotional trauma the students had gone through during the seven (7) weeks strike. It is undeniable that the situation affected the students economically, emotionally and psychologically.
Therefore, the Student Union Government write to call the attention of all the concerned stakeholders and citizens of our nation to note that any attempt to make the students rewrite any exams will bring about security threat in the Institution because most of the student had gone back to their various destinations across the country, believing that they had written their final exams.
It is indeed widely known that the students do not have the right to conduct any exams on their own.
The Student Union Government is appealing to ASUP and the Management to settle their grievances without punishing the students again for a crime they did not commit. Therefore the Union wishes to use this medium to inform the concerned stakeholders that NO student will be re-writing any exams which has been conducted already.
The stakeholders and the concerned citizens should make sure that no exams should be cancelled as for that may bring about abnormality and threat to the peace which the school is enjoying since the appointment of the new rector.
We believe our appeal will be given due consideration.
Thank you Sir.
Yours faithfully,
Muhammad Auwal Ibrahim
